When signed into Rightster you can find our Reporting section by clicking on 'Report' on the main menu. This opens up onto our Content Owner analytics section, showing you an overview of your account performance.

These pages are updated each day at 8am GMT and 8pm GMT and show data from January 2013 onwards. If you would like to report on 2012 data or earlier you should use the Custom Analytics button on the side menu . Please note that any figures shown are an estimate and may change on a final report.

Let's run through some of the features here:

Report types:

Overview:
This gives you a great performance summary of all projects, videos, publishers, geographies and devices used in relation to your account. Click between the different metrics to update the graph view, check the top 5 results and change the filters to view data from a specific date range or just from your YouTube channel.

Projects: This filters down your results to show your Rightster project performance. Remember that projects act like folders of content on Rightster, so each video uploaded will need to be uploaded to a project.

Videos: Here you can report against the individual videos you've uploaded.

Publishers: These are the accounts which have embedded your content on their sites.

Geographies: This shows where in the world your videos viewers are - separating the results into individual countries. Handy for when you'd like to see your audience in Germany, or how you're doing in Japan. Don't forget that countries that you've excluded from viewing your content will naturally have very few views.

Devices: Find out whether your viewers are watching on a desktop PC, android phone, iPhone etc. It's always good to know your demographic.

Filters:

This allows you to change the focus of the reports you see - which will automatically update the graph you see and the results you're viewing. This is broken down into two menus:

All Data: Three options for you here - All Data, YouTube Data and Rightster Data. The difference between YouTube and Rightster data is essentially down to which player or platform the video view was recorded against. All Rightster data is pulled from our embedded player, where as YouTube data is pulled from videos viewed in their player.

All Time: This drop-down allows you to change the Date Range of your reports.

Metrics: When pulling reports on Rightster you can see how you've performed in the following areas:

Player Loads: Each time a webpage loads which features one of your embedded videos.

Video Plays:
Each time one of your embedded videos is played, whether through an auto-play or a user clicking the play button.

Conversion (%): The percentage of video plays from player loads, showing how frequently your videos attract views.

Ad Impressions:
The number of adverts shown on your embedded videos
