An embed code is a piece of HTML text, a common online format, which will automatically pull content from one website to another. The Rightster embed code contains information about how a video player looks, behaves, and which content it contains. This allows for videos and playlists to be shared with viewers on other websites but still hosted and tracked by Rightster.
To access an embed code find your ideal content and use the ‘Get Clip – Embed’ button found beneath it:
This opens the Embed code window – within this you have the following options:
1. Embed Code: Access to an iFrame code, a standard format used in online publishing. This code should be copied in full once other settings have been applied.
2. Player Variables:
Non-iFrame Code: Select this option if you’d rather use an HTML object code. Some websites and content management systems are happier with this type of code.
Video Size: Video content is predominantly presented in a 16:9 aspect ratio, which means that for every 16 pixels of width there is 9 pixels of height. This relationship between width and height is a common measurement in online video. The size setting is therefore aspect ratio controlled - so changing the height will automatically change the width to match that ratio, and vice versa.
3. Copy Code: Clicking this button will copy the above Embed Code onto your clipboard, ready for you to quickly paste into your website.
